I am the founder & CEO of GKinetic Energy & the originator behind how the turbine maximizes power extraction. I am passionate about producing renewable energy.
I have over 30 years’ experience in project management, and am recognised as a successful entrepreneur generating growth and jobs as well as providing work to specialists in the field of marine renewable energy. Key points of his role as CEO of GKinetic include the following:
Over €3.9 million in funding secured towards development of technology
6 years served on the Marine and Renewable Energy Ireland (MaREI) board
Winner of the Design Award at the Sustainable Energy Awards hosted by SEAI
Serves on the board of the National Standard Authority of Ireland for Marine Energy
Project Managed 3 full scale deployments and testing as well as 2 lab tests of technology
With a strong background working across construction, marine and engineering industries, the challenge of cracking a viable solution for tidal energy generation was something I had been researching for years.
My organisation
GKinetic is at the forefront of hydrokinetic energy generation. We have developed an innovative turbine to harness maximum energy from water currents. We can supply turbines that be can installed in large and small water channels, rivers and tidal estuaries. Our systems have received regulatory permitting for installaion in Natura 2000 designated area, validating the eco-friendliness of our design.
