Dokuz Eylül University (DEU), founded in 1982, has a long-standing tradition of serving as a hub for research and education, particularly in the Aegean region. About me

Bahar Baran is a Professor of Educational Technology and the Director of the Distance Education Center at Dokuz Eylül University, İzmir, Turkey. Her research interests include digital and smart health, innovative and sustainable high-quality healthcare, and the integration of artificial intelligence-based tools and technologies into education and healthcare. She specializes in the design and development of sustainable, technology-enhanced teaching and training environments, incorporating learning management systems, gamification, flipped classrooms, hybrid education models, and virtual reality applications.
