Finca San Blas

Finca San Blas, a small production winery in Requena, has a unique and privileged natural environment. The mainly busy 675ha estate has a total of 55ha in vineyards divided into small plots through seeking the best soil and microclimate for each variety such as Bobal, Grenache and Merseguera. And they are grown organically with the utmost respect to the environment. 

Operating since 2000, actually we have 10 references (6 red wines, 2 of which are 100% Bobal wines, 2 white wines, 1 rosé, 1 noble rot wine) under CRDO Utiel-Requena. We have aimed to make wines with personality, balance and elegance with the best grapes and little intervention in winemaking and we believe that each of our wines has its own style, at the same time all have these characteristics. High scores and awards given by celebrated critics and organizations prove that too. For example, our noble rot wine once won the Platinum Best in Show in the Decanter WWA.

Our technical director, Nicolás Sánchez, is a restless and inquisitive mind who is always innovating. He was also a famed professor of viticulture and enology. One of his main researches covered the potentiality of the Bobal variety, which was little known at that time.
