Sensors for food freshness detection
About
We are working on the development of optical sensors that are capable of alerting about the freshness of packaged foods. At the moment, we have developed sensors for gases such as ammonia and carbon dioxide, which can correlate with the freshness of meat and fish, however, we are able to develop such sensors for any type of gas and for applications in any type of food. The detection system is as simple as taking a picture with our mobile phone of the sensor. These sensors are useful for both the consumer and the manufacturer, adding value to their product to increase their competitiveness in the market.
