Social Transformations and Resilience - Foresight Platform
Social Transformations & Resilience
Defining Needs for the Future – Shaping the Future Together
How can we address climate change, demographic shifts, the green and digital transitions and unforeseeable events while building resilient, democratic, inclusive, and fair societies?
This platform will connect stakeholders and help prepare a future partnership of stakeholders.
Who is this for?
This platform connects stakeholders working toward a sustainable and inclusive future: Research funders, ministries, researchers, civil society, policymakers, and social partners. In 2026/27, a new European Partnership on Social Transformations and Resilience will bring actors from all these groups together to drive collective action.
Research & Policy Focus
Together, we’ll focus on four areas to build resilience: Social protection, the future of work, education and skills, and a fair transition to climate neutrality. This collaboration will create a transformative research programme that bridges social sciences and humanities to generate impactful solutions.
Our Vision
We aim to co-create knowledge, identify emerging needs, and find new perspectives. The Social Transformation & Resilience Partnership will be an initiative for 7 to 10 years, guided by a strategic research agenda, which this platform will help define.
What will we do
Over the next 18 months, we’ll collaborate to shape the future research agenda - a foundation for a long-term, transformative programme. Let us share information, develop ideas, work together.
Why Participate?
Be part of the conversation! Share your expertise, stay informed, and contribute to shaping the future.
Who we are
DLR Projektträger is commissioned by HERA Humanities in the European Research Area to conduct foresight exercises to lay the groundwork for the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda for the European Partnership on Social Transformations and Resilience. This European Partnership is under construction by a Drafting Group of interested European ministries, funders and the European Commission.
The future Partnership will be coordinated by NCN, Poland. NCN provides further information on the Partnership via the CHANSE website. While the Foresight Platform builds a community of researchers and societal actors to co-create a strategic research agenda, NCN takes care of the process of building a consortium of funding organisations and public authorities: two websites which complement each other. Two pieces of one puzzle!
