Cascina Alberona

I am Ferraris Luigi, owner of the Cascina Alberona farm located in Mortara in the province of Pavia in the flat areas of Lomellina, land of rice fields.

The activity began in 1988 when, after studying agriculture in Treviso, I resumed the agricultural activity of paternal grandparents.

Born and raised near Venice, since I was a child I spent summers in Mortara in company of my grandmother who brought me closer to the agricultural world. The passion for the countryside grows and the desire to reviving my grandfather's business makes me decide to move from Veneto to Lombardy.

Thus began my journey which became a passion that continually grows and with it the desire to get closer to the final consumer. Through the production and then the direct sale of rice, yes wants to contribute to spreading the culture of rice, as a product with many qualities nutritional and organoleptic plan.

The estate covers an area of ​​130 hectares planted with rice, corn and poplars.

The company specializes in the production of the Carnaroli Classico, Baldo Classico, S. Andrea Classico, Arborio and Originario with a production of around 700/800 tons of paddy rice per year.
